Bernard Cribbins is spotted filming scenes for the Doctor Who 60th anniversary special in Camden.

Bernard Cribbins was spotted filming scenes for the Doctor Who 60th anniversary special in Camden yesterday, reprising his role as Wilfred Mott after more than 12 years.

The 93-year-old actor played the grandfather of Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) between 2007 and 2010, even briefly serving as a companion to David Tennant's Tenth Doctor as part of his swansong.

Both Tennant and Tate have rejoined the show for its milestone 60th celebrations next year and now Cribbins appears to have joined them, according to photos and videos from fans observing scenes being filmed.

One piece of footage shows the Tenth Doctor escorting Wilf, who is now in a wheelchair, into the TARDIS - which curiously, appears to be the version of the TARDIS piloted by Jodie Whittaker's Thirteenth Doctor.

Also spotted on set were Tate and Jacqueline King, who played Sylvia, the mother of Donna and daughter of Wilf.

The news comes after a busy week for announcements about the future of Doctor Who after Whittaker leaves later this year, with Ncuti Gatwa revealed to be the new Doctor and actress Yasmin Finney joining the cast as a new character called Rose.
