New West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini is reportedly looking to make as many as seven new signings before the start of next season.

Manuel Pellegrini has reportedly indicated that he would like to bring in seven new signings at West Ham United this summer.

Earlier this week, Pellegrini was confirmed as the new boss of the Hammers, replacing David Moyes who had guided the club to 13th place in the Premier League this season.

Pellegrini has publicly stated that he would like to add "four or five" players to his first-team squad but according to The Telegraph, as many as seven fresh faces could arrive at the London Stadium.

James Collins and Patrice Evra have already been released, while Joe Hart has returned to Manchester City after the goalkeeper's loan deal came to an end.

The report also claims that West Ham will cash in on Sam Byram, who could still command a fee in the region of £5m despite not establishing himself since signing from Leeds United.

Co-chairman David Gold has already suggested that West Ham could go on a 'club-record spending spree' this summer.
