Gary Speed's father Roger will give Wales a team talk before they face Costa Rica at the Cardiff City Stadium tonight.

The friendly has been arranged as a memorial match for the late Wales manager.

"I've spoken to Roger several times and he wants to come in and wish the players all the best before kickoff and thank them," coach Osian Roberts said. "That will be nice to do and appropriate to do."

Roberts also confirmed that Speed's sons Ed and Tom will be present at the match.

"Craig [Bellamy] is very close to the family and the boys. Ed and Tom will be walking out with both Aaron [Ramsey] and Craig," Roberts said.

New Wales manager Chris Coleman will take a back seat for the match, but he has taken part in preparations.
