Toulouse held by 10-man Nantes

Toulouse draw 1-1 with mid-table rivals Nantes despite the visitors playing the final 20 minutes with just 10 men.

Toulouse and Nantes have played out an entertaining 1-1 draw in the battle for a top-half Ligue 1 finish this afternoon.

The game was disrupted by a number of mistimed tackles early on, but even so the away team managed to take the lead with the first opening of the match.

Oswaldo Vizcarrondo met a Banel Nicolita free kick to glance his side ahead in the ninth minutes after Uros Spajic was forced off injured for the hosts.

Toulouse looked to get back level straight away and came close through Serge Aurier, who headed an Adrien Regattin corner just wide of the post.

Aurier threatened again before Regattin came close with an effort from the edge of the box, but Toulouse could not manage an equaliser before the break.

However, 20 minutes into the second half they were level as Wissam Ben Yedder turned a Pavle Ninkov cross home from inside the six-yard box.

The visitors' hopes of regaining the lead took a blow just three minutes later as Papy Djilobodji was given his marching orders, but the 10 men of Nantes managed to hold on for a share of the spoils.
