Clement: 'Players have exchanged views'

Swansea City head coach Paul Clement confirms that a number of his players "exchanged views" after the club's 2-1 defeat to Stoke City last weekend.

Swansea City head coach Paul Clement has claimed that he had been "expecting" tensions to start to boil over in the dressing room.

Defender Martin Olsson revealed that a heated discussion had taken place behind the scenes after the 2-1 defeat to Stoke City last weekend, a result which extended the club's recent run to one point from seven matches.

Clement has acknowledged that an incident did take place, but insists that there was "nothing abnormal" about members of his first-team squad holding an open discussion.

The 45-year-old told reporters: "There are no divisions. It is a cohesive dressing room that wants to turn things around and get things right.

"It was me speaking most, and a couple of views exchanged by players. It was nothing abnormal. I've been waiting for it to happen. It was a healthy discussion, one that needed to happen."

Swansea currently sit at the bottom of the Premier League table, four points adrift of safety.
