Mark Hughes: 'Jack Butland could go out on loan'

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes says that goalkeeper Jack Butland may go out on loan again following Asmir Begovic's recovery from a broken finger.

Mark Hughes has said that Stoke City may send goalkeeper Jack Butland out on loan again.

The England Under-21 international has been filling in while Asmir Begovic recovered from a broken finger, but the first-choice keeper is expected to be fit to face Chelsea in the FA Cup this weekend.

"I've not made that decision yet. In terms of Jack, he has done really well since he came into the side. I'm very confident in Jack and I know he can perform at Premier League level," The Mirror quotes the manager as saying.

"We are fortunate here at Stoke that we have exceptionally talented keepers at varying stages of their careers. It's something I'm going to mull over and speak to the guys tomorrow."

Butland has had loan spells with Birmingham City and Barnsley since joining the Potters last January.
