Inter Milan defender Stefan de Vrij reportedly tells friends he is open to reuniting with former Nerazzurri manager Antonio Conte at Tottenham Hotspur in January.

Inter Milan defender Stefan de Vrij has reportedly informed close contacts that he is interested in a switch to Tottenham Hotspur in January.

Since the appointment of Antonio Conte in north London, the Lilywhites have been linked with several Inter stars that he managed last season, and the Dutch defender is now said to be lined up as a prime target.

According to Football Insider, the 29-year-old has told friends that he is aware of interest from the Premier League outfit and is open to the switch.

Such a move would see him reunite with the manager that led the Milan outfit to the Serie A title last season, with De Vrij featuring in 32 of their 38 league games on the way to the Scudetto.

He has continued in similar fashion this term, starting in all but one of their league games and all four Champions League outings so far, taking his tally to 139 appearances for I Nerazzurri since his arrival from Feyenoord in 2018.
