Sporting director Fabio Paratici insists that there is no need for continued speculation regarding the future of Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane.

Sporting director Fabio Paratici has reiterated that Tottenham Hotspur are delighted to have retained the services of Harry Kane this summer.

The England international was heavily linked with a transfer to Manchester City, who were ready to break the English transfer record to sign the forward.

However, with Kane having three years left on his contract, the North London outfit opted to rebuff any attempts to secure the services of the 28-year-old.

Speaking at the Festival dello Sport event, Paratici said: "Harry Kane loves Tottenham. We've decided to keep Harry last summer to start the re-building, and we're happy with our choice.

"There's no need of any new talk with Harry. He knows how to share the sense of belonging to Spurs."

While Kane is yet to score in the Premier League this season, he has netted four times in the EFL Cup and Europa Conference League.
