Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola reportedly has no problem sacrificing Gabriel Jesus in order to fund a move for Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola reportedly has no problem parting ways with Gabriel Jesus in order to boost his side's chances of landing Harry Kane.

Kane - who opened his England account at Euro 2020 during Tuesday's last-16 win over Germany - has supposedly informed Tottenham Hotspur of his desire to leave the club this summer in search of silverware.

City are believed to have tabled an initial offer of £100m for the England captain but are supposedly prepared to walk away if Spurs chairman Daniel Levy stands firm on his £150m stance.

A potential part-exchange deal involving Jesus and Kane has been mooted, but Levy is not expected to consider such a proposal, leaving Man City in a position where funds may have to be raised elsewhere.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Jesus could instead be sold to Juventus as the Serie A side prepare for Cristiano Ronaldo's possible exit, and Guardiola will not stand in the Brazilian's way.

The 24-year-old has registered 82 goals and 34 assists in 195 appearances for City, but he was often left on the bench as Guardiola preferred a false nine during the Citizens' run to the 2020-21 Champions League final.
