Harry Kane has become Tottenham Hotspur's all-time leading scorer with his 267th goal for the club in Sunday's Premier League clash with Manchester City.

The England captain had gone level with Jimmy Greaves on 266 goals during Spurs' 1-0 win over Fulham in January but missed the chance to break the record against Preston North End in the FA Cup last weekend due to illness.

However, Kane unsurprisingly returned to the first XI for the visit of Man City and took just 15 minutes to break the deadlock and cement his place at the top of the charts.

The 29-year-old was gifted his record-breaking strike after another horror mistake from Man City, as Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg pressed Rico Lewis and won the ball back for Spurs just outside the area.

Hojbjerg advanced into the penalty box and poked the ball to his right for Kane, who duly side-footed the ball into the bottom corner past Ederson to give Tottenham the lead.

The striker's effort was also his 200th Premier League goal, becoming only the third player to hit that landmark after Alan Shearer (260) and Wayne Rooney (208).

Kane has taken just 304 games to reach 200 goals in the division, with Shearer doing so in 306 matches and Rooney taking 462 games to score a double-century.
