Team News: Adem Ljajic back in Roma attack

Roma pick Adem Ljajic to start alongside Alessandro Florenzi and Marco Borriello in attack against Sassuolo in Serie A this afternoon.

Roma coach Rudi Garcia has decided to recall Adem Ljajic to his starting XI for this afternoon's Serie A clash with Sassuolo, naming an attacking lineup featuring three forwards.

Ljajic and Alessandro Florenzi will play either side of central striker Marco Borriello, with Miralem Pjanic dropping back to occupy an advanced midfield role and Gervinho fit enough to be named as a substitute.

Michael Bradley drops to the bench to accommodate Pjanic, while Nicolas Burdisso continues in defence with Mehdi Benatia missing through suspension.

Sassuolo travel to the Stadio Olimpico full of confidence after winning 4-3 at Sampdoria last week, with hat-trick hero Domenico Berardi supporting Antonio Floro Flores in attack.

Simone Zaza is back from suspension but not named in the starting XI, with teenage winger Simone Missiroli preferred next to Floro Flores and Berardi in attack.

Roma: De Sanctis, Maicon, Burdisso, Castan, Balzaretti, De Rossi, Pjanic, Strootman, Florenzi, Borriello, Ljajic

Sassuolo: Pegolo; Antei, Bianco, Acerbi; Gazzola, Marrone, Magnanelli, Longhi; Berardi, Floro Flores, Missiroli
