James Rodriguez: 'I want to stay at Bayern Munich'

James Rodriguez says that he would like to remain at Bayern Munich when his loan spell from Real Madrid ends in the summer.

James Rodriguez has said that he would like to secure a permanent stay at Bayern Munich.

Rodriguez is currently in the second season of his two-year loan spell from Real Madrid, and there have been suggestions that the Colombia international would prefer an early return to the Bernabeu after failing to hold down a regular place under Nico Kovac.

However, the forward has insisted that he is enjoying his time at the Allianz Arena and would be happy to stay at the Bundesliga giants.

The 27-year-old is quoted by Bild as saying: "I'd like to stay because I feel the love of the fans.

"That's true here in Munich, and actually the entire Bayern family. I feel very good right now. I want to be fully match fit in one to two weeks."

Rodriguez has made just seven starts and four substitute outings in Germany's top flight and the Champions League this season.
