Everton duo Richarlison and James Rodriguez are reportedly considering whether to follow Carlo Ancelotti out of the exit door on Merseyside.

Everton duo James Rodriguez and Richarlison are reportedly considering leaving the club following Carlo Ancelotti's sudden departure.

The former Toffees boss nearly guided Everton to European football last term before an end-of-season collapse, but Real Madrid moved swiftly to re-appoint him as their new manager following Zinedine Zidane's exit.

A busy summer in the Spanish capital awaits for Ancelotti, and he is supposedly hoping to persuade Brazilian attacker Richarlison to move to the Bernabeu with him.

According to The Athletic, Richarlison and Rodriguez - who Ancelotti also has a positive relationship with - were both stunned by the Italian's exit, and the South American duo are considering exits from Goodison Park.

Rodriguez endured a mixed 2020-21 Premier League season on Merseyside, chipping in with six goals and five assists but only featuring in one of Everton's last six top-flight games of the season.

Richarlison, meanwhile, struck seven goals in a slightly disappointing Premier League campaign, but he opened the scoring in Brazil's 2-0 World Cup qualifying win over Ecuador on Friday.
