How Real Madrid could line up with Jude Bellingham

Sports Mole looks at how Real Madrid could line up next season if they sign Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund.

Real Madrid are reportedly close to completing a deal for Borussia Dortmund's Jude Bellingham.

The 19-year-old's future has been the subject of much speculation in recent months, with Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United all said to be keen on bringing him back to English football.

However, Real Madrid have allegedly now won the race for the England international, who is expected to move to the Spanish and European champions during this summer's transfer window.

Bellingham has been in impressive form for BVB this season, scoring 11 goals and registering seven assists in 40 appearances in all competitions.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Real Madrid could line up next term if they manage to secure the services of the former Birmingham City youngster.

Real Madrid are expected to be in the market for a big-money centre-forward during next summer's transfer window, with Karim Benzema set to depart at the end of next season.

However, it seems likely that Benzema, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo, who have 65 goals between them this season, will again feature as the team's front three more often than not next term.

At the back, Eduardo Camavinga has excelled when used as a left-back and could operate in that position more regularly next term, with Aurelien Tchouameni hoping to build on what has been a solid first season at the club.

Luka Modric and Toni Kroos are expected to sign new one-year contracts, but the pair will not be guaranteed starters every week next term, especially if a deal for Bellingham goes through.

Federico Valverde is still regularly used as a right-sided attacker but could feature in central midfield on a consistent basis next season, with Bellingham starting alongside him.

The Englishman has scored 21 goals and registered 25 assists in 130 appearances for Dortmund in all competitions, including six goals and five assists in 23 Champions League outings.

Bellingham has already picked up plenty of big-game experience in the early stages of his career, and he will expect to be a starter at Real Madrid next season despite the competition for places.

It would certainly not be a surprise to see Camavinga, Valverde and Bellingham used as a midfield three, while Carlo Ancelotti, should he remain as head coach, would also have the option of using Tchouameni, Bellingham and Camavinga as the midfield three, pushing Valverde further forward.

Real Madrid could end this season with a Copa del Rey and Champions League double, but they are in need of a refresh this summer, especially with Modric and Kroos entering the latter stages of their careers.

Bellingham is a player capable of starring for the capital giants for a decade, and it would not be a surprise to see him become the leading midfielder in world football in the coming years.

At this stage, it is unclear how much the proposed deal will cost Real Madrid, but there have been suggestions that the club could pay Dortmund €100m (£88.3m), which could eventually rise to €120m (£105.9m) with add-ons.
