Zinedine Zidane will reportedly stand down as head coach of Real Madrid at the end of the 2020-21 campaign.

Zinedine Zidane will reportedly stand down as head coach of Real Madrid this summer, even if he manages to lead the club to the 2020-21 La Liga title.

Los Blancos are currently third in the table, five points behind leaders Atletico Madrid, but they would move to within two points of Diego Simeone's side with a win over Granada on Thursday evening.

Zidane is in his second spell in charge of the Spanish giants and has enjoyed huge success at the helm, winning two La Liga titles and three Champions League crowns.

The Frenchman has a contract at the Bernabeu until next June, but according to the Daily Mail, the manager has all but decided to stand down at the end of the current season.

The report claims the clash with Villarreal on May 23 will be Zidane's last match in charge of Madrid, but he could make a quick return to management with Juventus.

The 48-year-old has allegedly become 'tired and annoyed' this season and is no longer enjoying the role due to the changes that have occurred due to the coronavirus outbreak.
