Queens Park Rangers to appoint Ian Holloway as new manager?

Queens Park Rangers are eyeing up a move to bring in Ian Holloway as manager following the dismissal of Chris Ramsey, according to a report.

Ian Holloway could reportedly make a return to Queens Park Rangers following the sacking of Chris Ramsey.

The 53-year-old was shown the Loftus Road exit on Wednesday night after an indifferent start to the season.

Neil Warnock has been placed in temporary charge to steady the ship before a new man is brought in, with Holloway thought to be among the leading contenders.

According to Get West London, 30 applications were received by the R's within hours of Ramsey being given his marching orders, with the club currently sitting 13th in the Championship.

It is suggested that there is no plan in place to appoint former Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood, and QPR chiefs instead want someone who can work within a restricted budget.

Holloway, who was sacked by the Hoops in 2006 following a five-year spell at the club, is said to be seen as the man to fit this category.
