Kieron Dyer reveals that a new hamstring injury could force him to retire from football.

Kieron Dyer has admitted that he would consider retiring from football if he was to suffer a new hamstring injury.

The Queens Park Rangers midfielder is currently battling a foot problem but claims that if an old hamstring injury was to reoccur, retirement could be a possibility.

"If I'd been injured on my hamstrings, because I was getting hamstring injuries in the past, then I probably would call it a day," he told Goals on Sunday.

The former Newcastle United midfielder suffered his latest injury within three minutes of his QPR debut against Bolton Wanderers on the opening day of the season.

"It was a one-off injury and there's nothing as a player you can do. That's why I will continue to play football," he added.

QPR are currently 16th in the Premier League table.
