Peterborough United's director of football Barry Fry wants Nottingham Forest to make their mind up regarding Peterborough boss Darren Ferguson.

Peterborough United's director of football Barry Fry has admitted that he is becoming increasingly frustrated with Nottingham Forest's stance on manager Darren Ferguson.

The Championship boss has been linked with the vacant managerial post at the City Ground since the dismissal of Steve Cotterill last week.

"It's annoying," thisisnottingham.co.uk quotes Fry as saying. "We keep hearing Forest want Darren, but there's been no contact.

"They should come out and say whether they're interested in him. It's leaving us in limbo. We're trying to sign players and they're asking if the manager's going to be there.

"If Forest want to come in through the front door and ask to speak to Darren they can. But we won't welcome an approach and there'll be substantial compensation to pay if they want him."

Despite reported interest in Ferguson, it is understood that former Chelsea coach Glenn Hoddle could be offered the role.
