Jadon Sancho insists he is focused on Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund attacker Jadon Sancho insists that he is purely focused on his performances after intense speculation surrounding a move to Manchester United.

Borussia Dortmund attacker Jadon Sancho has affirmed that he is purely focused on the current Bundesliga campaign following a summer of speculation.

A proposed move to Manchester United for the 20-year-old dominated talk of last year's transfer window, but the Red Devils could not agree a fee with Dortmund and he stayed put at the Westfalenstadion.

However, Sancho has failed to live up to his normally high expectations so far, and Dortmund chief Hans-Joachim Watzke admitted that the persistent rumours regarding his future caused the attacker to "lose his fluency".

Sancho is keen to put the past behind him, though, telling the official Bundesliga website: "Obviously this season has been very difficult for me personally. So I knew when I went away, I just focused on my game and came back raring to go.

"I'm working hard every day in training and on the pitch so I'm just happy to get my goals and assists."

Sancho played a starring role in Dortmund's 3-1 victory over RB Leipzig on Saturday - scoring the opener before setting up Erling Braut Haaland for his side's second goal.
