Torino's Matteo Darmian 'confirms' move to Manchester United

Torino right-back Matteo Darmian reportedly confirms that he will join Manchester United this summer.

Torino right-back Matteo Darmian has reportedly confirmed that he will sign for Manchester United this summer.

The 25-year-old is believed to have agreed a £14m switch to Old Trafford, but Torino president Urbana Cairo denied this week that a deal has been struck.

In another twist, the player himself has been quoted by gianlucadimarzio.com as saying that he will become a United player in the next few weeks.

"I'm very excited, we'll face this new adventure," said Darmian. "It's a dream. I'm superstitious so I won't say anything until the signatures, let's wait. I say thank you to Torino and their fans who have been great these years."

The Red Devils have made one signing so far this summer - Memphis Depay from PSV Eindhoven.
