Manchester United could move for Sevilla's Jules Kounde if they fail to agree a deal with Real Madrid for Raphael Varane, according to a report.

Manchester United could reportedly move for Sevilla's Jules Kounde if they fail to agree a deal with Real Madrid for the transfer of Raphael Varane.

The Red Devils are said to be determined to sign a new centre-back during this summer's transfer window, and Varane has seemingly been identified as the club's leading target.

However, a recent report claimed that Real Madrid will make it difficult for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side to sign the World Cup winner in the current market.

According to ABC, Man United view Sevilla's Kounde as a 'great option', should the club fail to come to an agreement with Los Blancos over Varane.

The report claims that Real Madrid are also keen on the Frenchman, while Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have been credited with an interest ahead of next season.

The 22-year-old has scored six times in 89 appearances for Sevilla since joining the La Liga club from Bordeaux ahead of the 2019-20 campaign.
