Manchester United reportedly fire a hands-off warning to Paris Saint-Germain over Marcus Rashford, who has been linked with a move to the Parc des Princes.

Manchester United have informed Paris Saint-Germain once and for all that Marcus Rashford is not for sale this summer, according to a report.

The 24-year-old burst onto the scene at the Theatre of Dreams as a teenager but struggled to live up to expectations under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick last term.

Rashford ended the 2021-22 season with a mere five goals from 32 appearances in all competitions, with four of those strikes coming in 25 Premier League outings.

The England international was strongly linked with a move away from Man United earlier this summer before being given the chance to reignite his career under Erik ten Hag.

Rashford has started in both of Man United's opening Premier League games so far this term, but the attacker has not been able to prevent the Red Devils slumping to defeats to Brighton & Hove Albion and Brentford.

Exit links resurfaced last week, with Ligue 1 champions PSG alleged to have been in contact with Rashford's entourage to discuss a summer transfer.

A recent report also claimed that Christophe Galtier's side were preparing a long-term contract offer for the Englishman, who could become a free agent at the end of the season.

However, the Daily Mail now claims that Man United are in no position to let Rashford leave this summer, and the player himself is determined to succeed at Old Trafford.

Man United possess the option to extend Rashford's deal until 2024, and the report adds that the Red Devils are keen to negotiate a new contract with the 24-year-old.

Furthermore, Ten Hag was quick to shoot down speculation surrounding Rashford's future ahead of the Brentford thumping, telling reporters: "He is really important.

"You have seen from the first day I'm in [the club], I've been really pleased [with him]. Definitely, I don't want to lose him. He's in our plans and he will stay at Manchester United."

Rashford has totalled 93 goals and 57 assists in 304 matches for Man United in all competitions and could be joined by some fresh faces in the final third in the coming weeks.

While PSG's interest in Rashford will seemingly not lead to anything concrete, the two clubs are supposedly considering a deal that would see Mauro Icardi move to Old Trafford.

The former Inter Milan striker - who only hit four goals in 24 Ligue 1 games last season - is said to welcome the idea of a move to Old Trafford after being frozen out of Galtier's PSG squad.

Stuttgart's Sasa Kalajdzic is also thought to be on the radar of Red Devils chiefs, but former Man United interim manager Rangnick has advised the 6ft 6in man against leaving his current club.
