Atletico Madrid will approach Manchester United to discuss the possibility of a swap deal for Anthony Martial, according to a report.

Atletico Madrid are reportedly preparing to approach Manchester United to discuss the possibility of a swap deal for Anthony Martial during the January transfer window.

Martial's agent Philippe Lamboley recently said that the Frenchman is keen to leave Old Trafford at the start of 2022, having become frustrated with his lack of football this season.

However, Man United interim boss Ralf Rangnick has insisted that the attacker has not told the 20-time English champions that he wants to seek pastures new at the start of next year.

According to Eurosport, Atletico are keen to discuss a possible exchange with the Red Devils for Martial, who has also been linked with Barcelona, Lyon, Arsenal, Everton and Paris Saint-Germain.

The report claims that the Spanish champions want to know whether there are any players at Wanda Metropolitano that Man United would be interested in signing as part of a swap.

Martial, who is currently on the sidelines with a knee injury, has only scored once in 10 appearances at club level during the 2021-22 campaign.
