Ole Gunnar Solskjaer "looking forward" to Mason Greenwood's return

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is "looking forward" to Mason Greenwood's return to the field.

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has suggested that Mason Greenwood will be key to helping the Red Devils put together a consistent run of form in the Premier League.

A second-half penalty from Bruno Fernandes secured a 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion on Saturday night, and the 20-time English champions have now secured back-to-back league victories.

United will follow Tuesday's Champions League clash against Istanbul Basaksehir with a trip to Southampton in England's top flight next weekend, and Solskjaer has said that the team are "looking forward" to Greenwood's return.

The England international scored 17 times in all competitions last season but has netted just twice in eight outings this term and has recently been on the sidelines through illness.

"We need to improve. We need to get more flow and rhythm to our game, be more clinical, take our chances," the Manchester Evening News quotes Solskjaer as saying.

"We're looking forward to having Mason back, fit again and well, so hopefully we can hit some form like we did toward the end of last season."

The 19-year-old, who has scored 19 times and registered six assists in 61 outings for United in all competitions, could return against Basaksehir on Tuesday night.
