Mauricio Pochettino is allegedly open to taking the Manchester United job after witnessing Paris Saint-Germain collapse against Real Madrid on Wednesday night.

Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly open to taking the Manchester United job at the end of the season.

Despite having 16 months remaining on his contract at Parc des Princes, it has long been speculated that the Argentine will depart the French giants in the summer.

On the back of his side's capitulation against Real Madrid in the Champions League, sporting director Leonardo insisted that the two parties would continue to work together.

However, a report in the Evening Standard says that Pochettino will now entertain a switch to Old Trafford given the manner of the defeat at the Santiago Bernabeu.

United are expected to bring in a replacement for Ralf Rangnick, who has not overly impressed during his stint at interim manager after the departure of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The former Tottenham Hotspur man is being tipped to go head-to-head with Ajax counterpart Erik ten Hag when further discussions are held within the United hierarchy later in 2022.
