Andreas Pereira keen to work his way into Jose Mourinho's plans at Manchester United

Manchester United youngster Andreas Pereira is eager to work his way into Jose Mourinho's plans for the season.

Manchester United youngster Andreas Pereira has expressed his desire to work his way into Jose Mourinho's plans for the upcoming season.

The 21-year-old was sent out to Granada on a season-long loan last term, although he could not prevent the Andalusian club from dropping out of La Liga under Tony Adams.

Ahead of the 2017-18 season getting underway, Pereira is now targeting a regular first-team place under Mourinho after returning to Old Trafford.

Pereira told Sky Sports News: "Now I am focused at United. I am here and I want to stay here and I believe I am going to stay.

"[Mourinho] knows he is a good manager. He knows how to do things, he knows how to speak with players, he knows how to treat the team. He always gets the results and always wins trophies. I think if you want to be the best manager in the world, you have to win trophies and that's what he does.

"I was very happy [last season], I watched every game. The last game I even came to watch, the last Premier League game. I was very excited and, yeah, of course it is nice when United is winning back things and trophies. Hopefully we can kick on and win more trophies."

Winger Pereira has been on Man United's books since 2012, when he joined their academy from PSV Eindhoven.
