Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Old Trafford.

Tuesday morning's Manchester United transfer talk news roundup:

Manchester United have reportedly made an enquiry to sign Sporting Lisbon midfielder Pedro Goncalves.

The 22-year-old, who spent two seasons in the academy at Wolverhampton Wanderers, has performed well for the Portuguese giants who are flying high at the top of the Primeira Liga table.

Portuguese outlet Record reports that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is interested in the playmaker and would be open to adding him to his side in the summer.

Goncalves is currently under contract with Sporting until 2025 but has a release clause believed to be worth £53m, a fee which United are reportedly willing to meet.

The Red Devils are understood to have made an approach for the player last month although no deal was agreed, while Liverpool are also keen to make a move next summer.

Goncalves has been one of Sporting's key players in their quest to win the league title, scoring 12 goals in 13 Primeira Liga matches and providing two assists.

Manchester United 'not interested in Dayot Upamecano'

Manchester United are seemingly no longer in the running to sign in-demand RB Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecano.

The Red Devils were rumoured to have showed a strong interest in the France international as they seek a new long-term partner for Harry Maguire.

Upamecano's agent confirmed on Monday that there is a €42.5m (£37.45m) release clause in the defender's contract that kicks in at the end of the season.

However, United do not appear to be among those in the hunt to land the 22-year-old.

That is according to Bayern Munich chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, who has revealed that Chelsea and Liverpool are the two other teams rivalling the European champions for Upamecano.

"There are two other clubs interested in Dayot," Rummenigge told Sky Deutschland.

"When clubs like Chelsea or Liverpool are interested in him, it shows what qualities the player has."

United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said on Monday afternoon that his side will not bring in any new recruits before tonight's deadline.

Following the Red Devils' failure to sign a new centre-back, outcast Phil Jones will now be added to their Premier League squad for the rest of the season.
