Jose Mourinho urges football's "specialists" to do their job and comment on Manchester United's 2-0 win over Benfica in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Jose Mourinho has called on football's "specialists" to comment on Manchester United's 2-0 win over Benfica in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

The Red Devils edged closer to qualification from Group A - though they have not secured a spot in the knockout stages just yet - thanks to Mile Svilar's own goal and Daley Blind's late penalty against the Portuguese giants at Old Trafford.

Mourinho also drafted academy product Scott McTominay into the starting XI for his first Champions League start, a fact that the 54-year-old highlighted in his post-match comments.

"We didn't qualify yet? Four victories and it's not enough... we must get that one point," Mourinho told BT Sport after the game.

"It's better for the specialists to comment on the game than for me to give my opinion. The specialists are paid to comment on my work so let them comment.

"I'm more than happy, we changed players, broke the natural dynamic of the team and played a kid from the academy, we scored two, didn't concede, three more points, more money for the club, no significant injuries, I'm more than happy."

United sit six points ahead of second-placed Basel in Group A.
