Manchester City are reportedly preparing a fresh bid to sign full-back Dani Alves after the Brazilian became a free agent this summer.

Manchester City will reportedly reignite their interest in signing Dani Alves after the full-back became a free agent this summer.

The Brazilian, who has won a remarkable 40 trophies in his career, is now available to buy for free after his two-year contract at Paris Saint-Germain expired last month.

Alves enjoys an excellent relationship with Pep Guardiola following the pair's successful time at Barcelona together, with the former even claiming that being coached by the Catalan was "better than sex".

According to Globoesporte, Alves is on his way back to Europe to listen to offers from two clubs, although it is not known if City are among the interested parties.

Guardiola has placed emphasis on securing another right-back this summer in order to put greater pressure on first-choice Kyle Walker.

The Premier League champions recently broke their transfer record to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Rodri for £62.8m, and have also captured left-back Angelino and goalkeeper Zack Steffen so far in this window.
