Mohamed Salah insists that he is "happy" at Liverpool amid the speculation surrounding his future.

Mohamed Salah has insisted that he is "happy" at Liverpool amid the speculation surrounding his future.

The Egypt international's current deal at Anfield is due to expire in June 2023, and it is understood that the attacker wants the Reds to smash their wage structure in order to hand him a £350,000-a-week contract.

The 29-year-old has been in excellent form for Liverpool this term, scoring nine times in nine appearances in all competitions, and the attacker has said that he is "happy" at Anfield.

"I'm happy as long as the team keep winning. I'm trying to help always, to score goals and make the team win games – that's the most important [thing]," Salah told Liverpool's official website.

Salah has netted six times and registered three assists in seven Premier League appearances this term, while he has struck three goals in two Champions League outings.

The Egyptian has previously been strongly linked with Barcelona and Real Madrid, but the former will struggle to compete for his signature due to their ongoing financial problems.
