The agent of Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson claims the likelihood of a move away from Anfield this summer is "impossible", amid links of a move back to Brazil.

The agent of Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson has rubbished reports suggesting that he may leave the club this summer, stating that it is "impossible".

Speculation has arisen about the futures of a number of Liverpool players, following the news of Jurgen Klopp's imminent departure at the end of the season.

Alisson has played a pivotal part in the club's success over the past six years, as the Brazilian has won every major honour with the club since arriving in 2018.

Rumours coming out of Brazil had suggested Alisson was a target for Internacional this summer, the club where the stopper started his career.

Alisson left Inter in 2016, joining Roma, and after one season on the bench, he replaced the outgoing Wojciech Szczesny for the 2017-18 season, where his performances earned a big-money move to Anfield.

Liverpool broke the world transfer record for a goalkeeper to bring Alisson to the club six years ago, spending £66.8m on the Brazil international, and he has gone on to make 255 appearances with the Reds.

The 31-year-old has a contract that runs until 2027, but Klopp's departure is threatening to lead to a potential overhaul at Anfield.

Alisson's agent Ze Maria was quick to quash any rumours that his client may be one of the players to depart though, when speaking to Brazilian outlet Revista Colorada.

"There's nothing. There was no contact [with Internacional]. At this moment, it is impossible." Ze Maria revealed.

A move back home to Brazil is not the only destination where Alisson has been linked with though, as reports last month stated that the Saudi Pro League are targeting Alisson ahead of another summer of big spending.

Saudi Arabia appear adamant about taking advantage of uncertainty at Liverpool by shortlisting many of their key players for potential moves at the end of the season.

The report also claims that Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk are of great interest to the Saudis, as a £150m bid for the Egyptian winger was rejected by Liverpool last summer.

Comments made by Van Dijk had the transfer rumour mill in overdrive, when in response to a question about his future at Anfield, he replied: "That's a big question, I don't know."

Van Dijk clarified that his words were taken out of context and that he is committed to Liverpool, but with just over 12 months left on his contract, there is some uncertainty around his future.

Alisson is currently absent from the Liverpool side with injury, and will miss the weekend's clash with Manchester City, but backup Caoimhin Kelleher has kept three successive clean sheets while deputising.

The Brazilian is set to return to the side from a hamstring injury in a few weeks, with the clash against Brighton & Hove Albion at the end of the month the planned date for his comeback.
