Liverpool transfer roundup: Sadio Mane set to leave, Takumi Minamino in demand

Sports Mole rounds up the latest Liverpool transfer news, as Bayern Munich agree a deal for Sadio Mane and Takumi Minamino takes his pick of three clubs.

Liverpool's incomings for the summer transfer window could be wrapped up relatively early, but Jurgen Klopp has some big decisions to make regarding outgoings.

Some have already left as free agents, some fringe players could leave for cut-price fees, and one big-name attacker is seemingly close to ending his six-year Anfield stay.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest Liverpool transfer news, including updates on Sadio Mane, Takumi Minamino and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.

Bayern Munich's opening two bids for Sadio Mane were swiftly cast aside by Liverpool, but it will seemingly be third time lucky for the perennial German champions.

The 30-year-old has been expected to leave as he enters the final 12 months of his Anfield contract, and Bayern have been the only realistic contenders for his signature.

According to Sky Sports News, Bayern and Liverpool have now come to an agreement over a £35.1m deal for Mane, who has already agreed personal terms on a three-year deal.

Mane is set to leave Liverpool having racked up 120 goals and 48 assists in 269 appearances for the Reds, winning the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup in that time.

Mane will likely not be the only attacker to leave Liverpool this summer, as Takumi Minamino's time at Anfield will seemingly come to an end as well.

The Japan international only started one Premier League game last season - appearing in 10 more as a substitute - but he is said to be a man in demand either way.

According to journalist Ekrem Konur, French duo Lyon and Monaco are both interested in signing Minamino this summer, while Italian giants Lazio are also in the race.

Liverpool are said to be holding out for a fee of £17m to sell the 27-year-old, who managed 10 goals in all tournaments last term despite his status as a fringe player.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to stay?

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain spent most of the 2021-22 season on the bench alongside Minamino, and the ex-Arsenal midfielder has also been strongly linked with a summer departure.

However, Liverpool are now reportedly set to wait until 2023 before attempting to bolster their midfield ranks, which could lead Klopp to hold off on offloading any more lynchpins.

According to The Mirror - via Anfield Watch - Minamino's expected exit means that Klopp is unlikely to allow Oxlade-Chamberlain to seek a move elsewhere this summer.

The 28-year-old has been linked with the likes of Manchester United and Aston Villa, and a fee of £10m was initially thought to be enough to prise him away from the Merseyside club.

Oxlade-Chamberlain could now seemingly stay and try to fight for his place in Klopp's setup, but he was left out of the Premier League squad entirely on nine occasions last season.
