Philippe Coutinho dominates Liverpool end-of-season awards ceremony

Philippe Coutinho dominates Liverpool's end-of-season award ceremony, picking up four prizes including Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year.

Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho has picked up four awards at the club's end-of-season ceremony this evening.

The Brazilian has been lauded for some of his displays despite Liverpool's struggles in the current campaign, earning himself a place in the PFA Team of the Year.

In addition, he has now been named the club's Player of the Year and Players' Player of the Year, as well as winning Goal of the Year for his long-range strike against Southampton at St Mary's in February.

The 22-year-old also picked up the Performance of the Year award for his individual display in Liverpool's victory over Manchester City at the start of March.

There was also an award on the night for Raheem Sterling, who was named Young Player of the Year but booed by a smattering of fans when making his speech due to his ongoing contract dispute with the club.

Captain Steven Gerrard received the Outstanding Achievement prize ahead of his summer departure from the club, while Liverpool legends Ron Yeats and Ian St John were awarded the Lifetime Achievement gong.
