Leeds United boss Brian McDermott has revealed that he wants to sign one more player before the start of the season.
The Whites have already signed Lee Murphy from Crewe Alexandra and Matt Smith from Oldham Athetic, but the former Reading manager is eyeing one more key player to his side.
McDermott told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "By the time we get to August 3 we need to make sure we're in a certain place, but I'm sure we will be. I'm very happy with where we are and the situation as it stands.
"I'm still targeting one signing at the moment, the signing I've been targeting for a long time.
"We're trying to get this particular player and it's not happening just yet, but we need to try and do that. For me, he'd be an important player. But the lads who are here are buying into what we're doing."
Leeds finished 13th in the Championship last season.
