Half-Time Report: Ainsley Maitland-Niles give Ipswich Town lead over Bolton Wanderers

Ainsley Maitland-Niles scores in the 13th minute to give Ipswich the lead at half time against Bolton Wanderers.

A goal from Ainsley Maitland-Niles has given Ipswich Town a 1-0 lead over Bolton Wanderers at half time.

Gary Madine had the first chance of the match with just two minutes played but the Bolton striker missed the target.

Kevin Bru responded three minutes later, but failed to test Ben Amos from long range.

Maitland-Niles gave Ipswich the lead after 14 minutes, when his first-time effort hit the back of the net from Daryl Murphy's cross.

The Tractor Boys continued to attack, and Brett Pitman's close-range effort was blocked before Amos saved Freddie Sears's shot from a tight angle.

Darren Pratley had a go from long range as Bolton tried to get back into the game but his shot was stopped by Dean Gerken.

The Bolton captain tested Gerken again before half time but his header was saved.
