David Wagner: 'Huddersfield Town players were unbelievable'

Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner praises the "unbelievable" workrate of his players in their 1-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion.

Huddersfield Town manager David Wagner has praised his side for producing an "unbelievable" performance to claim a 1-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion this afternoon.

Rajiv van La Parra delivered the decisive goal on the stroke of half time, in the process handing his side back-to-back home victories following their famous 2-1 defeat of Manchester United a fortnight ago.

The Terriers are now up to 10th in the Premier League table, a feat that left Wagner "delighted" after the final whistle.

"This is one of the highlights since I arrived at this club. Two weeks ago we beat Manchester United but the win today was another big moment for this club," he told reporters.

"Look how my players worked, what they left out there on the grass. It was an absolutely deserved win today and I am delighted for my players because the workload was unbelievable. It was a great afternoon for us.

"The support here was amazing, just electric. The crowd played their part today as we got the result over the line.

"Two years in this job? That's the reality, and from where we started two years ago this is something unbelievable, extraordinary."

Next up for Huddersfield is a trip to Bournemouth when Premier League action resumes after the international break.
