Sam Allardyce reportedly intends to sue the Football Association over how they removed him from his position as England manager last year.

Sam Allardyce has reportedly decided to sue the Football Association over the manner of his dismissal as England manager last year.

In September 2016, Allardyce's spell as Three Lions boss ended after just one game after the 62-year-old was involved in a undercover sting by The Telegraph.

A video appeared to show Allardyce giving advice on how to circumvent FA regulations, footage which promptly led the governing body to remove the experienced manager from a position that he had only acquired 67 days earlier.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Allardyce's legal team feel that the allegation was false and that the FA did not confirm the alleged facts before ending his tenure on September 27.

It has been claimed that lawyers have since looked at footage of the two videos in question in their entirety, resulting in contact being made with FA chairman Greg Clarke and chief executive Martin Glenn.

Allardyce's sole game in charge as England boss was a 1-0 win away in Slovakia.
