Goals from Craig Bryson and Jamie Ward give Derby County a 2-0 half-time lead against Huddersfield Town.

Derby County are comfortably leading Huddersfield Town at half time.

Jamie Ward twice tested Alex Smithies in the Huddersfield goal in the opening three minutes, the second effort was an impressive save from a free kick.

It continued to be all Derby and Jeff Hendrick had another chance, but Smithies was equal to that too.

The hosts made their dominance pay, Bryson finishing well from close range in the 24th minute.

Ten minutes later it was 2-0, with Ward finishing left-footed from the edge of the six-yard box from Gareth Robert's assist.
