President Urbano Cairo says that Torino will contact Chelsea about pushing through a permanent deal for Ola Aina.

Torino have decided to take up their option to sign Chelsea defender Ola Aina on a permanent basis.

Aina has spent this season on loan at the Olympic Grande Torino Stadium, with the wing-back making a total of 22 starts and eight substitute outings in Serie A.

Torino are able to sign Aina for a fee of £8.8m, and president Urbano Cairo has confirmed that the Italian club intend to secure the signature of the Nigeria international.

Cairo told Sky Italia: "Ola Aina? He did well, tomorrow he will send the letter to Chelsea to communicate that we will exercise the right of redemption."

Aina has made six outings for Chelsea in all competitions.
