Olivier Giroud admits that he will consider his Chelsea future at the beginning of 2021 after dropping down to third choice in the pecking order.

Olivier Giroud has acknowledged that he may have to consider his future at Chelsea during the January transfer window.

While the France international enjoyed a productive end to last season, the forward now finds himself behind Timo Werner and Tammy Abraham in the pecking order.

Despite suggesting that he is prepared to fight for his place in Frank Lampard's starting lineup, the veteran has admitted that he may have a decision to make at the beginning of 2021.

Speaking to reporters ahead of France's fixture with Ukraine, the 34-year-old said: "I've written a book called 'Always Believe It' so I'm not going to go anywhere without a fight.

"There is competition but I will fight and we saw the rewards of that at the end of last season. I am convinced that I have a role to play at Chelsea. We will see in January."

Giroud has been provided with just 111 minutes of football since the beginning of the season.
