Barcelona-linked Tagliafico 'will 100% leave Ajax this summer'

Argentine defender Nicolas Tagliafico - linked with Barcelona in January - will reportedly '100% leave Ajax' this summer.

Argentine defender Nicolas Tagliafico will '100% leave Ajax' during this summer's transfer window, according to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The 29-year-old was strongly linked with a move to Barcelona in January, but the deadline passed with the South American still at his Dutch club.

Tagliafico later hit out at Ajax for not allowing him to complete "a dream" switch to Xavi's side.

The defender has again been an important player for his Dutch outfit this season, making 19 appearances in all competitions, contributing two goals and two assists in the process.

Tagliafico still has little under 18 months left to run on his contract in Amsterdam, but Romano claims that he will '100%' be on the move during this summer's transfer window.

Ajax have allegedly already decided to pursue AZ Alkmaar's Owen Wijndal as a direct replacement for Tagliafico, although it is unclear whether Barcelona are still interested in his services.

Chelsea are also believed to have considered signing him during the January transfer window.
