How Chelsea could line up against Wolverhampton Wanderers

Sports Mole looks at how Chelsea could line up for Sunday's Premier League meeting with Wolverhampton Wanderers at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea conclude their 2019-20 Premier League campaign with a home clash against sixth-placed Wolverhampton Wanderers on Sunday.

The Blues head into the fixture on the back of a 5-3 loss to champions Liverpool in midweek and now require victory this weekend to guarantee Champions League football next season.

Frank Lampard's side also have the small matter of an FA Cup final with Arsenal to look forward to next week, but for now all focus is on the visit of Wolves.

Lampard has used a three-man defence in Chelsea's last three matches but may well revert to a four-man backline for Sunday's clash with Wolves, who possess pacy wideman Adama Traore in their ranks.

If that is the case then Cesar Azpilicueta will shift to left-back and Reece James will operate on the right, with Kurt Zouma and Antonio Rudiger the preferred pairing in the centre.

N'Golo Kante has missed the Blues' last five matches with a hamstring problem and remains a major doubt for this game, so Jorginho has another chance to stake his claim alongside Mateo Kovacic in midfield, with Mason Mount likely to complete the central trident.

After his incredible cameo appearance from the bench against Liverpool last time out, Christian Pulisic seems certain to return to the side on the left.

The form of Willian and Olivier Giroud post-lockdown should cement their places in attack for these final two matches, meanwhile, although Tammy Abraham - who boasts six goals in three top-flight meetings with Wolves - will be hoping that is not the case.
