Chelsea captain John Terry reportedly arrives at Wembley Stadium to begin an FA hearing regarding an improper conduct charge just a day after retiring from international football.

Chelsea captain John Terry is due to stand before the Football Association today on an improper conduct charge just a day after retiring from international football.

The 31-year-old called time on his England career yesterday claiming that the governing body's upcoming charge against him made his position with the Three Lions "untenable".

It is believed that the centre-back has arrived at Wembley Stadium to begin an independent hearing regarding a charge relating to an alleged racial slur towards Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand during a West London derby last October.

Terry was acquitted of a racially-aggravated public order charge from Westminster Magistrates court in July.
