Tottenham Hotspur's Harry Kane equals a Premier League goalscoring record set by Sergio Aguero in Sunday's 2-2 draw with Chelsea in the Premier League.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane equalled a Premier League record set by Sergio Aguero with his last-gasp equaliser in Sunday's 2-2 draw with Chelsea in the Premier League.

During a fiery North London derby in sweltering conditions at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea dominated the early proceedings and deservedly took the lead through Kalidou Koulibaly's volley.

Tottenham clawed their way back into the game through Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, although tempers flared as a perceived foul on Kai Havertz before the goal was not sanctioned by Anthony Taylor.

Kane had already missed one gilt-edged chance to find the back of the net before Reece James restored Chelsea's advantage, but the England captain's header then took a nick off of James's leg to rescue a point for Spurs in the dying embers.

Antonio Conte and Thomas Tuchel were both sent off at the final whistle following another on-field confrontation, with Chelsea further aggrieved after VAR took no action on Cristian Romero's apparent tug on Marc Cucurella's hair.

However, Tottenham nevertheless came away from Stamford Bridge with a share of the spoils, and Kane celebrated yet another personal accolade in England's top flight.

The 29-year-old's late header marked his 184th Premier League goal, which saw him equal the record for the most strikes in the competition for a single club.

Former Manchester City talisman Aguero netted the same number during his trophy-laden stint at the Etihad, and Kane will certainly have his eyes on surpassing the Argentine within the next couple of weeks.

Speaking to Sky Sports News after the 2-2 stalemate, Kane admitted that he was unaware of the nature of the incidents at the final whistle but was delighted to rescue a point for his side in front of their travelling fans.

"It was a tough game, playing against a really good side. We knew it was going to be a really tough battle. First half we weren't good enough with or without the ball but second half I thought we came out and pressed well, got the goal. It was disappointing the way we conceded the second," Kane said.

"But we carried on fighting and pressing and got one at the end there. I'm happy with the way we fought back especially second half and really nice feeling to get that one at the end.

"I flicked it on and I couldn't really see where the ball went and then I saw the net rustling and it was right in front of our away fans. Especially after that chance I had earlier in the second half, it was nice to see that one go in.

"It's disappointing to see the red cards, I didn't see what happened. Obviously it was an emotional game, London derby, the passion from both sides, both teams wanted to win. That's sometimes what happens in these games."

Kane will be out to score his 185th Premier League goal for Spurs and set a new all-time one-club record when the Lilywhites welcome Wolverhampton Wanderers to North London next Saturday lunchtime.

As things stand, Conte will not be on the touchline for the visit of Bruno Lage's side after his last-gasp dismissal at Stamford Bridge.
