A decision to narrow down a list of candidates who are interested in buying Chelsea will reportedly be made by Tuesday.

Raine Group will reportedly make a decision regarding a shortlist of candidates who are interested in buying Chelsea by Tuesday.

After a deadline for proposals to be submitted was set for last Friday, the investment group have been tasked with trying to determine the most suitable bidder.

As expected, they have been inundated with interest in the Premier League club, with some bids continuing to be amended after the deadline.

Nevertheless, according to Goal, further developments are expected on Tuesday when a selection of preferred bidders will be officially confirmed.

The report claims that a consortium with strong links to the United States are favourites to get a deal over the line in the coming weeks.

Earlier on Monday, it was revealed that a British-based consortium had come together, with the leading four members all said to be Chelsea season ticket holders.
