Celta Vigo 2-0 Sevilla

Sevilla are beaten for the second consecutive time this season with a 2-0 defeat at Celta Vigo.

Sevilla have suffered their second consecutive defeat of the La Liga season with a 2-0 loss at Celta Vigo.

The hosts enjoyed much of the early possession and could have gone ahead but for Andres Palop's low save from Iago Aspas's drive.

Arsenal loanee Park Chu-Young could have done better midway through the half but could only shoot straight at Palop as the sides went in goalless at the break.

Aspas continued to cause trouble for the visitors after the interval and gave his team the lead from the penalty spot on the hour after Hedwiges Maduro was harshly judged to have handled.

Sevilla increased the pressure in the final 20 minutes as they pushed for an equaliser and Alvaro Negredo wasted a great opportunity when he fired wide from Manu del Moral's cross.

However, Vigo sealed the win in the 86th minute through Quique De Lucas's header.
