Team News: Isaac Vassell named on bench for Birmingham City

Birmingham City manager Harry Redknapp names new signing Isaac Vassell on the bench for the trip to Burton Albion.

Birmingham City manager Harry Redknapp has named new signing Isaac Vassell on the bench for the trip to Burton Albion.

Earlier this week, forward Vassell completed a move to St Andrew's from Luton Town, but the 23-year-old has been made to wait for his first start in a Blues shirt

Lukas Jutkiewicz is given the nod in attack, and midfielder David Davis is fit enough to return to the team after missing the goalless draw with Bolton Wanderers through illness.

As for Burton, Nigel Clough is able to welcome back Jackson Irvine after a one-match ban, but Hope Akpan is absent through suspension.

Burton are still looking for their first point of the season, while Birmingham have claimed four points from their opening three outings in the Championship.

Burton Albion: Bywater, McFadzen, Murphy, Lund, Akins, Dyer, Naylor, Sordell, Palmer, Buxton, Irvine
Subs: Ripley, Flanagan, McCrory, Varney, Fox, Barker, Sbarra

Birmingham City: Stockdale, Nsue, Morrison, Roberts, Grounds, Davis, Gardner, Ndoye, Maghoma, Donaldson, Jutkiewicz
Subs: Kuszczak, Robinson, Dacres-Cogley, Gleeson, Kieftenbeld, Cotterill, Vassell
