Burnley are reportedly considering Sunderland manager Alex Neil as their future boss if the club gets relegated from the Premier League this season.

Burnley have reportedly added Sunderland manager Alex Neil to their shortlist as they look to replace Sean Dyche.

The 40-year-old is currently leading the Black Cats' bid for promotion to the Championship, as they sit fourth in the League One table.

However, the Clarets have added him to their targets as the potential future manager of the club, with The Sun reporting that he is an option if they end up being relegated from the Premier League.

The Scotsman has impressed Burnley with his work throughout his career, and they admire his ability to work with a small budget.

However, the Clarets do reportedly have other options as well, with Chris Wilder, Carlos Carvalhal and Nathan Jones all being targets.

Mike Jackson is currently trying to guide Burnley to safety during his time in charge, with the club currently 17th in the Premier League table, two points above the relegation zone.
