Bologna, Sassuolo share goalless draw

Bologna share a goalless draw with fellow strugglers Sassuolo in their Serie A match.

Sassuolo have ended a run of seven Serie A defeats after sharing a goalless draw with Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall'Ara.

Lazaros Christodoulopoulos came close to opening the scoring for the home side early on, but Gianluca Pegolo kept out his free kick.

The visitors soon worked a chance of their own, as Nicola Sansone's powerful effort was pushed over by Gianluca Curci.

Sassuolo were dominating proceedings and Sansone came even closer when he latched onto Francesco Magnanelli's pass, before firing an effort against the bar.

In the second half Christodoulopoulos placed the ball just over with another set piece, and it was the closest either side came to breaking the deadlock as the game finished level.
