Half-Time Report: Dominant Wolfsburg lead Bayer Leverkusen

Bas Dost scores twice as Wolfsburg cruise to a 3-0 half-time lead over Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.

Wolfsburg have taken a comfortable 3-0 lead into the interval thanks to a clinical first-half display against Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.

It could have been Leverkusen who were ahead inside three minutes had Diego Benaglio not reacted impressively to get a strong hand to Karim Bellarabi's low effort from the edge of the box.

However, it was the visitors who took an early lead when Vieirinha delivered an inviting cross to the back post to allow Bas Dost to head home from close range.

Naldo doubled their advantage from a free kick 11 minutes later by sneaking a shot through the hands of Bernd Leno from 30 yards.

Leverkusen were simply unable to stop the Wolfsburg dominance, and the hosts fell further behind when Dost scored with a clever flick after being picked out by the influential Kevin De Bruyne.
